The arena of “Saryarka” Republican cycling track held the final day of the Republican cycling Championship. Young cyclists demonstrated the highest level of excellence and the readiness to defend the honor of the country in world tournaments.

Competitions were held in more than 10 disciplines among adult sportsmen as well as among juniors. In the overall standing of the championship, Astana cyclists managed to take the second team place, yielding the championship to the cyclists of Almaty. According to the results of 6-day competitions, Amelia Iskakova and Elizaveta Prokhorenko Astana cyclists became the champions in the team sprint.

The latter, by the way, managed to climb to the highest step of the podium in the sprint and keirin.
