ERBOL MYRZABOSYNOV REVIEWS PREPARATIONS OF NATIONAL TEAMS
Kazakhstan’s national teams are preparing for the Judo Grand Slam and the Asian Indoor Championships — Erbol Myrzabosynov reviewed the training process.
Minister of Tourism and Sports Erbol Myrzabosynov held a meeting with members of the national teams who will soon take part in the Judo Grand Slam tournament and the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships.
During the meeting, issues related to the preparation of the national athletics team for the 12th Asian Indoor Championships, to be held on February 6–8 in Tianjin, China, were discussed, as well as the preparation of judokas for the Grand Slam tournament scheduled for February 7–8 in Paris, France. Both competitions are important stages in the build-up to the Asian Games, which will take place this September.
The head coaches of the national teams reported on the athletes’ current level of readiness, the results of training camps, and the key objectives set for the upcoming competitions.
Special attention was paid to the reforms currently being discussed in the country. The Minister emphasized that the Head of State attaches particular importance to the development of sports, the formation of a sports reserve, and the active involvement of children in sports. He also noted the link between adherence to the principles of fair play in sports and the rule of law in society. According to him, trust and results are possible only where the rules are fair — a principle that applies not only to sports, but also to public life.
“Today, the open and public discussion of the draft of the new Constitution shows that society is developing and civic engagement is growing. The main goal of the reforms is to strengthen the protection of human rights, reinforce the rule of law, and build a just social order. It is important that this process is conducted openly and transparently,” the Minister noted.
In conclusion, it was emphasized that sustainable development and forward progress — both in sports and in society — are possible only where there is trust in common and fair rules.
