Kazakhstan - Sweden - 0:1

10.09.2013

The Kazakh national team had little chance to score points in the confrontation with the Swedish team, the dedication of the players and the support of the fans were the main "engines of hope"...

Miroslav Beranek may have surprised with the composition, having significantly changed it compared to the last game against the Faroe Islands, from the first minutes the hero of that match, Andrei Finonchenko, appeared on the field.

The attack of the Kazakhstanis in the first minute of the match ended with a dangerous shot, after which the Swedes immediately rushed forward and Zlatan Ibrahimovic burst into the penalty area, shot low into the corner farthest from Andrei Sidelnikov — 0:1.

Kazakhstan figured out a quick answer, Sergey Khizhnichenko failed to beat Andreas Isaksson one-on-one. The teams showed fast football in the future, they looked for each other's weaknesses, I must say, it turned out at times, and the Swedes did better than the Kazakhstanis, although there were few mistakes in general in defense, Dmitry Shomko and a couple from Shakhtar actively played in attack, the first half ended in favor of the guests.

Alexander Kislitsyn checked Isaksson at the very start of the second half, the goalkeeper deflected a shot from the defender of Kairat. The Finonchenko - Khizhnichenko bunch worked pretty well for the Kazakhstan national team, and Andrei was mostly on the sidelines, Sergei often did not keep up with his partner, or to his shots. The Swedes often hit the goal, but the hosts attacked more, unfortunately there were not so many shots at the goal, but the Kazakhstanis clearly did not sit defensively.

Albin Ekdal punched powerfully and did not hit, Sidelnikov was lucky, Shomko tried to sharpen the game with a shot from afar, Isaksson took the ball. The combination of the guests, Alexander Kachaniklic struck Sidelnikov from an acute angle, followed by a series of substitutions, Miroslav Beranek released Marat Khairullin. The teams had chances until the very last minute of the game, but they never managed to realize them..
