From June 30 to July 13, master class courses from the best Spanish coaches were held on the field of the capital's Astana Arena stadium. Carles Martorell Backes and Ivan Palanco Santiago are award-winning European coaches with a solid track record. More than 80 children from all regions of the country were able to experience the lessons of professional ball handling, reports the press service of the Republican cycling track “Saryarka”.

It is worth noting that this event was included in a series of events dedicated to improving the health of the nation under the Healthy Lifestyle Program. The event is dedicated to the centenary of Kazakh football. Financial support was provided by the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture and the Nazarbayev Center. The Football Federation of Kazakhstan also provided assistance in a number of issues.

Carles Martorel Backes shared his opinion on the development of Kazakh football and the country’s sports infrastructure:

“I am overall impressed with the Astana Arena stadium. I was pleasantly surprised by the retractable roof of the stadium, which provides all the necessary conditions for comfort. It is impossible not to note the quality of the field surface. The lawn is very similar to natural. It's the most important. Here both the stadium and the surface meet all requirements.

Our task is to explain our methodology to children and show how we work here in Europe. It must be borne in mind that working with Kazakh children is different from our lessons that we give in our homeland. This is due to the specifics of children and their level.

We had the opportunity to meet 80 children over the course of 2 weeks. Among them there are children of different potentials. For some, everything comes easy and perhaps they will join the ranks of successful football players in their country. We wish Kazakhstan more talented football players.”
