On December 7, 2024, the Qazaqstan Sports Complex in Astana will host the Youth Athletics Championship. The event is dedicated to the Independence Day of Kazakhstan and is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, developing mass sports and identifying promising athletes.

The purpose of the event:
• developing athletics culture in Astana;
• improving the level of training of young athletes;
• creating a sports atmosphere conducive to improving health.

The participants are divided into two age groups:
• 2014–2015: 30 and 150 meter run, medicine ball throw (1 kg), quintuple frog jump.
• 2012–2013: 50 and 600 meter run, long jump, 4x200 meter relay Mix.
Young athletes representing sports schools and institutions of Astana will take to the start line. The preparation and holding of the competition is carried out by coaches of the Astana Olympic Training Center and Children's and Youth Sports School No. 9.
The chief judge of the competition is K. Zeynollaev, the chief secretary is A. Kyrykpai.
The competition will start at 9:00 with a ceremonial opening parade.

Key stages of the program:
• 09:20 - 30-meter run (races and finals);
• 09:50 - long jump (quintuple);
• 10:20 - medicine ball throw;
• 10:30 - 150-meter run.

The finals for the older age group will begin at 12:00, including races, long jumps and relay races.
The award ceremony for the winners of the junior group will take place at 11:00, and for the senior group – at 14:10.
The participants who take prize places will be awarded medals and diplomas, and will also earn recognition and support from fans.
