On June 18-22 this year in New Delhi (India) the Asian Track Championship was held. 277 athletes from 18 Asian countries took part in the main competitions of the continent.

In the tempo events among juniors, the athletes of the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan turned out to be the strongest on the continent. In the team pursuit race, the team of Kazakhstan consisting of M. Taraskin, I. Karabutov, V. Belugin and A. Silykbek became the Champions of Asia. In the individual pursuit, M. Taraskin won the Asian Champion jersey. I. Karabutov won gold in the most difficult all-around - Omnium.

In the tempo events among juniors, the team of Kazakhstan consisting of E. Sklyarova, E. Grinberg, V. Kazakova and A. Junkman won bronze in the team pursuit. In the group race on points, E. Grinberg won silver.

In the sprint events among juniors, K. Kurdidi became the strongest on the continent in the 1 km Git race and the champion of Asia. He also competed in the Sprint where he won silver. The team of Kazakhstan consisting of R. Beisembaev, K. Kurdidi and M. Alpatov won silver in the team sprint.

In the sprint events among men in the Sprint race, A.Chugay won a bronze medal in the most difficult struggle.
