The solemn ceremony of seeing off the Kazakhstan team for the I Winter International Games “Children of Asia” was held on February 7, 2019 at 15:00 on the Saryarka cycle track.

At this ceremony, the chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Serik Sapiyev wished all athletes good luck and success in the upcoming winter international games.

Recall that in the competition from 8 to 17 February 2019, which will be held in the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky region of the Russian Federation, 1300 athletes will take part. Winter games are one of the competitions aimed at the development of children's sports in the countries of the Asian continent.

The sports delegation of Kazakhstan consists of 115 people. Of these, 73 athletes, 28 coaches, 8 representatives of the teams, 3 judges (skiing, biathlon, ski jumping).

The first competition “Children of Asia” will start on February 9 and on this day there will be competitions in two disciplines: ski racing and short track.
