On June 30, Astana will host the Republican tournament among the media on mini-football in memory of Seidahmet Berdikulov.

This tournament has been held regularly since 1995 and has become very popular among the employees of Internet portals, Newspapers, magazines, radio and television. Memorial S. Berdikulov was originally organized by the Ministry of communications and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. But since 2008, these competitions under its "wing" took the Ministry of tourism and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The authorized body in the field of physical culture and sports also, since 1995, holds a Republican competition for the Seidahmet Berdikulov prize among journalists of Kazakhstan specializing in the coverage of the theme of sports in their media.

Within the framework of this tournament, on June 30, it is planned to award prizes named after S. Berdikulov to winners-journalists for the results of the competition for 2017!

Traditionally, this tournament was held in Almaty on the birthday of S. Berdikulov – may 8-9. Since 2014, it was decided to hold a memorial in Astana, because almost all the Central media are based and work in the capital. At the same time, representatives of regional publications are planned to participate in these starts again. The geography of participants is increasing from year to year.

The organizers of the mini-football tournament in addition to the main winners are awarded to the best players in 5 categories, as well as journalists who have contributed to the development of sports journalism in Kazakhstan.
