On November 17, 2018, the Republican Taekwondo tournament (WTF) for the Cup of Astana akim started in the capital of Kazakhstan. The tournament was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kazakhstan and the Korean cultural center.

More than 500 taekwondists aged 6 to 17 years, representing all regions of the Republic, took part in the tournament.

With the best results and won 24 medals, the athletes who train the coaches of the Olympic training Center for Cycling in Taekwondo Askar Jamalova and Alisher beisembaev of. In a moneybox at pupils of the called trainers 11 gold, 6 silver, 7 bronze medals and the 1st place in the team competition.
