The first Asian Taekwondo Championship was held in Atyrau
From 7 to 9 September this year, the first open Asian championship in taekwondo “1st Asian Taekwondo Open Championship” took place in the city of Atyrau.
The participants of the championship were representatives from 30 countries of the world and about 300 athletes competed in competitions.
Kazakhstan athletes won 4 Asian championship medals. The gold medal Meruert Kopbolsynova won in the weight category 67 kg. Silver medal at the taekwondo trainer on the Saryarka cycle track - Alisher Beysembay in the weight category of 54 kg.
Among cadets aged 12-14 years in the weight category of 37 kg. Nurumbetov Bekkali took the 2nd place of honor, and the 3rd place of the pedostal at Tleugabyl Adil in the weight category of 45 kg.
